Job description

The Field Service Tier-II / IT Support Engineer will provide onsite and remote technical support to our clients, performing installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and project work. You’ll work closely with our Help Desk, Project Management, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams to deliver outstanding service and maintain high client satisfaction., * Provide Tier-II onsite and remote technical support for Windows desktop and laptop environments.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, VoIP, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows 11 workstations.
  • Deploy and support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
  • Perform workstation deployments, upgrades, and data migrations.
  • Install and support business applications.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity.
  • Configure and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  • Install and support conference room technology, Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Poly, Logitech, TVs, and AV systems.
  • Perform server maintenance and basic Windows Server administration.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Assist with cybersecurity implementations and remediation activities.
  • Document all work performed in ConnectWise Manage.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding status updates and recommendations.
  • Participate in onsite projects, office relocations, infrastructure upgrades, and new office build-outs.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when appropriate.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Tier-II / IT Support Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with clients, and providing exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of onsite and remote support in a fast-paced MSP environment., * 5+ years of IT support experience.

  • 3+ years supporting business environments.
  • Strong Windows 11 troubleshooting experience.
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Active Directory and Entra ID experience.
  • Basic Windows Server administration.
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and networking knowledge.
  • Experience supporting printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (iPhone/iPad/Android).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to travel throughout NYC using public transportation., * MSP experience.
  • Microsoft certifications.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate.
  • Experience with Datto, Huntress, SentinelOne, Sophos, SonicWall, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, or Fortinet.
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience. Azure is a plus but not required.
  • SharePoint and OneDrive migration experience.
  • Conference room AV deployment experience.
  • Cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
