Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will help design and bring to production advanced SWIR imaging hardware within a small, agile team. You will work across disciplines, from FPGA design to embedded systems, supporting the product from concept through production release. This is a start-up-like division within onsemi, offering hands-on ownership and visible impact on cutting-edge imaging technology. You will collaborate with sensor, firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to deliver complete imaging solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Design high-speed digital hardware for SWIR imaging systems * Architect and implement FPGA-based image acquisition, processing, and control solutions * Develop and optimize Verilog/VHDL code for FPGA implementations * Validate DDR3/DDR4 memory interfaces up to 800 MHz * Implement and debug high-speed SERDES up to 700 Mbps * Design FPGA power delivery and supporting circuitry * Develop real-time image processing pipelines within FPGA architectures * Design embedded processor hardware and associated circuitry * Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++ * Interface ADCs, DACs, sensors, and peripherals via I2C/SPI * Perform system integration, bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization * Create and review schematics and, when needed, assist with PCB layout * Collaborate with across sensor, firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver imaging solutions Tasks * Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field * Strong experience in high-speed digital circuit design * FPGA hardware design experience * Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL * Experience with DDR3/DDR4 memory interfaces * Experience with high-speed serial interfaces (SERDES) * Embedded processor hardware design experience * Embedded software development experience in C and/or C++ * Experience interfacing ADCs, DACs, and mixed-signal devices using I2C, SPI, or similar protocols * Strong debugging and laboratory troubleshooting skills * Ability and willingness to contribute across multiple engineering disciplines in a small team environment * U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Key requirements *
