Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our technology team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth computer operations, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure across our organization. - Troubleshoot software problems across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, maintaining inventory and deployment records.
- Configure and support computer networking components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall settings, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and network security measures like Meraki and firewall configurations.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure components including Windows Server environments, Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), BMC Remedy ticketing system, ServiceNow, Jira, and network administration tools.
- Support remote connectivity solutions by configuring VPNs and troubleshooting connectivity issues related to TCP/IP protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to improve help desk processes using analysis skills and tools like Help Desk software to track incidents efficiently.
- Conduct regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security compliance and operational stability.
- Communicate clearly with users at all levels to explain technical solutions in an understandable manner while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * Proven experience in IT support roles with strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications and enterprise tools such as SCCM, Active Directory, GPOs, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and network administration platforms like Meraki.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; strong analysis skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach; able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Knowledge of mobile device management and support for various operating systems including Windows Server environments is preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Cisco CCNA are advantageous but not mandatory.
