Application Manager

A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Application Manager / Technical Lead to lead the delivery, support, and modernization of critical enterprise applications within a fast-paced financial services environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving technical initiatives, overseeing production support, managing technical debt remediation, and guiding development teams across multiple technology platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can balance strategy and execution, work closely with business and technology stakeholders, and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle while remaining deeply involved in solution design and technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for enterprise application initiatives and projects. Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful delivery of application enhancements and strategic initiatives. Drive production support efforts and oversee resolution of critical application issues. Partner with business and technology teams to prioritize, plan, and execute projects within the application portfolio. Lead technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, and architecture recommendations. Support technical debt reduction initiatives and application modernization efforts. Mentor and guide development teams while maintaining hands-on involvement in development activities. Coordinate project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables. Ensure adherence to technology standards, governance, and best practices. Provide ongoing technical support and consultation for complex business and technology challenges.

8+ years of software development experience. Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Application Manager, or Hands-On Development Lead. Strong experience with: Mainframe technologies .NET Framework / .NET Core Angular, Java, Spring Boot Proven experience leading application development and support teams. Experience managing production support and incident resolution. Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and SDLC processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience within banking or financial services environments. Experience leading modernization initiatives involving legacy and distributed technologies. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
