Senior IT Project Manager

Insight Global is looking for a Senior PM to join a leading client in Plano, TX. The Senior Project Manager (SPM) drives and facilitates the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of Technical Consulting projects. Works with clients to ensure appropriate governance is applied to each project based on the scope and offering.

The SPM is the client’s first line of contact once a project has started and as such, they are the focal point of all communications to the client and the Mainframe Division, including Technical Consulting, Engineering, and Support or Development. Successful project delivery is the key performance metric for this role.

Bachelor’s degree

• 8+ years of IT Project Management experience
• Experience managing software projects, preferably involving Mainframe and/or Open Systems technologies
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including: -Project plans -Work breakdown structures (WBS) -Risk and issue management -Project governance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PMP Certification
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise software programs
• Customer-facing consulting or professional services experience
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across North America
