Daily Responsibilities
-
Lead daily Scrum stand-up meetings with the development team
-
Actively identify blockers or issues raised by developers and work quickly to resolve or escalate them
-
Maintain close communication with developers to ensure timelines and expectations are clear
-
Track daily development progress and ensure work aligns with sprint goals
Project & Documentation Management
-
Review and organize documents received from the Building Department related to enhancements or changes requested for the permitting system
-
Ensure all documents are properly saved, tracked, and clearly documented
-
Distribute documentation to developers, confirm they have reviewed it, and facilitate follow-up questions or clarifications
-
Translate business and user needs into clear, actionable requirements for the development team
Sprint & Prioritization Management

Manage new sprints every 3 weeks

Prioritize incoming documents and enhancement requests based on urgency, impact, and business need
-
Clearly communicate sprint priorities to the development team
-
Continuously track sprint progress, monitor deliverables, and adjust priorities as needed
Stakeholder Communication & Demos

Communicate with end users and stakeholders to schedule product demos
-
Coordinate demo timelines based on development progress and sprint completion
-
Ensure users understand upcoming features, timelines, and changes
Deployment & Go-Live Coordination

Lead and guide deployments, including identifying who participates (developers, QA, stakeholders, users)

Coordinate go-live timelines based on enhancement complexity
Requirements
-
3-5 years of experience working as a Technical (IT) Project Manager managing software-based IT projects in an Agile or Scrum environment
-
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives
-
Experience reviewing, organizing, and translating business and technical documentation into clear developer requirements
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise between developers, internal users, and stakeholders
-
Experience coordinating and leading software deployments and go-live activities
Highly organized with strong attention to detail while working in a fast pace environment
