Job description

This position on the Medicare Risk Adjustment Submissions Team is responsible for supporting the end-to-end data management process associated with the receipt, validation, preparation, and submission of risk adjustment data to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)., Understanding and interpreting data requirements; utilizing SAS and SQL to process, transform, and generate submission files; editing and formatting data to ensure compliance with CMS submission standards; and creating and maintaining datasets that support ongoing submission activities. The role also involves data retrieval, validation, analysis, reconciliation, and audit trail documentation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all submitted data. In addition, this position requires collaboration with vendors, providers, and internal business partners, as well as close coordination with team members to effectively manage workflow priorities, resolve issues, and meet submission commitments. Team members in this role utilize Base SAS 9.4 (Windows 11) and AWS Athena to perform data extraction, analysis, validation, and data comparisons.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a natural curiosity for investigating data issues, and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Should possess strong verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to clearly and effectively convey information to audiences across multiple departments and leadership levels. The agency should ensure that all candidates are able to communicate in a manner that fosters collaboration, builds strong working relationships, and minimizes the potential for misunderstandings throughout the assignment. Strong English language proficiency is preferred, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and professionally in both individual and group settings. Others: This role is primarily remote; however, quarterly onsite meetings are held in Blue Bell, PA\ MUST have a minimum of 1-2 yrs PC SAS work experience for this position (no exceptions). SAS Advanced is a plus. Fluent with PC BASE SAS & SQL, ETL, data manipulations with strong attention to detail. The maximum educational qualification accepted for this position is a Master’s degree. Location: Remote with quarterly onsite meetings in Blue Bell, PA Important: Must live within approximately 2 hours driving distance of Blue Bell, PA Travel and mileage expenses will not be reimbursed Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM EST Top Skills Required:

  1. Base SAS 9.4 (Critical) 1-2+ years hands-on PC SAS experience Ability to develop, modify, and troubleshoot SAS programs Experience with: o Data Steps o PROC SQL o Data Manipulation o File Creation o Validation Processes

  2. SQL & Data Validation Intermediate to advanced SQL Query writing Data reconciliation Data comparisons Root-cause analysis Data quality validation

  3. SAS Certification is a plus SAS certification preferred Hands-on SAS experience is required Certification details should be clearly listed on the resume Preferred Experience Healthcare data Medicare/Risk Adjustment experience ETL processes Data quality and audit/reconciliation activities
