Job description

The Access Control & RMR Program Manager will design, launch, and grow a new recurring-revenue business line built around cloud-based access control platforms (Brivo, Napco MVP, and comparable systems). This is a builder role: part technical program lead, part business owner. The right candidate combines hands-on access control/security systems expertise with door hardware knowledge, and the entrepreneurial drive to stand up pricing, service, and monitoring offerings that turn one-time installs into long-term recurring accounts., * Design and launch CAS’s Access Control RMR division, including service tiers, pricing models, contracts, and onboarding workflows.

  • Lead specification, design, and deployment of cloud-based access control systems (Brivo, Napco MVP, and similar platforms) across commercial, school, and public works clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend additional access control and cloud video/monitoring platforms to expand the RMR product line.
  • Integrate access control system design with door hardware requirements - electrified locksets, strikes, mag locks, panic hardware, and door position sensors - ensuring code-compliant, properly hardware-matched installations.
  • Build relationships with property managers, school districts, and commercial clients to convert one-time installation projects into recurring monitored/managed service agreements.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for system programming, credential management, remote monitoring, and ongoing service/support.
  • Coordinate with the field team on installation scope, hardware selection, and access control wiring/integration.
  • Track RMR growth, churn, and account health; report progress and financials to ownership.
  • Manage vendor relationships and certifications with Brivo, Napco, and other access control manufacturers.
  • Support proposal development and estimating for access control scope on new and existing projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with cloud-based access control platforms, specifically Brivo and Napco MVP (or directly comparable systems).
  • Solid working knowledge of commercial door hardware - electrified and mechanical - and how it integrates with access control systems.
  • Experience designing, specifying, or selling access control systems for commercial, education, or public works clients.
  • Understanding of recurring revenue/managed services business models (RMR, SaaS-style contracts, or alarm/security monitoring agreements).
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients, property managers, and ownership.
  • Self-starter capable of building a department’s processes, tools, and client base largely from scratch.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites and client locations across CA and NV as needed., * Prior experience building or managing an RMR/managed services division for a security, access control, or low-voltage integrator.
  • Familiarity with additional access control, video, or intrusion platforms (e.g., Openpath/Avigilon Alta, Kisi, DMP, Alarm.com, etc.).
  • Experience with public works or school district security/access control requirements.
  • Industry certifications (Brivo, Napco, DHI, or similar manufacturer/industry credentials).
  • Background in security systems sales, low-voltage estimating, or systems integration.
