Job description
As a Payroll Systems Specialist, you will support payroll technology systems, including UKG Pro Workforce Management, Oracle payroll and tax configurations, and organizational structures to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing. This role requires experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, system integrations, and the ability to collaborate with Payroll, HR, IT, and Finance teams to support system improvements and operational efficiency., * Support UKG Pro Workforce Management, Oracle, and payroll systems through configuration, reporting, testing, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Partner with IT on payroll system enhancements, automation, integrations, and process improvements.
- Maintain UKG configurations, including pay rules, earnings/deduction codes, tax profiles, work groups, and job/pay structures.
- Support integrations between UKG, Oracle, and downstream systems, including GL, benefits, and vendor files.
- Assist with multi-state payroll tax setup, compliance reviews, audits, reconciliations, and year-end processing.
- Maintain payroll organizational structures, including business units, cost centers, locations, supervisors, and labor distribution.
- Perform payroll system testing and validation to support accuracy and compliance.
- Support payroll projects, including implementations, acquisitions, and system improvements.
- Provide payroll systems expertise to improve controls, processes, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting payroll systems, HRIS, or related applications.
- Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management, Oracle payroll systems, and payroll integrations.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, multi-state tax rules, wage reporting, SUI/SUTA, and year-end processing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and results-driven approach to work.
