Job description
We are hiring an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to serve as the day-to-day owner of infrastructure operations and cybersecurity. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting users and operations daily to ensure our applications, hardware, network, and core systems are running properly and secured. The position will help modernize security practices, strengthen operational standards, and continuously improve our environment toward best-in-class protection and performance., * Provide day-to-day infrastructure and security support, triage issues, and drive problems to resolution.
- Implement and maintain security fundamentals: least privilege, secure configurations, privileged access hygiene, patch/firmware cadence, vulnerability remediation workflow, and incident response support.
- Improve visibility and reliability through logging, monitoring/alerting, documentation, and root cause analysis.
- Support identity and access security, including modern authentication concepts and access standards.
- Support and secure Windows environments and core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
- Support virtualization environments (VMware or comparable), including operational support and security best practices.
- Support backup and recovery operations, including backup health checks, restore testing, recovery documentation, and continuous improvement for resiliency.
- Support networking and secure connectivity across one or more sites (firewalls, VLANs/segmentation, switching/Wi-Fi, site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN concepts).
- Support collaboration and storage platforms (on-prem file servers, SharePoint, OneDrive) including permissions/access, operational support, and migration assistance as needed.
- Partner with application and integration stakeholders to help secure data exchange and integration processes (EDI, FTP/SFTP, BPA/workflow automation, vendor/partner connectivity) supporting ERP/CRM and digital commerce platforms.
- Support other network-related systems (e.g., communications/phone platforms) and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Maintain clear runbooks, diagrams, standards, and change notes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience across infrastructure/network engineering and systems administration (or equivalent).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support users in a production environment.
- Experience with Windows core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware or comparable) and backup/recovery operations (including restore testing).
- Experience with networking fundamentals and secure connectivity (VLANs, firewalls, VPN); preferred multi-site experience.
- Practical security experience: hardening, patching discipline, vulnerability remediation, logging/monitoring, and incident response participation.
- Strong documentation habits and ability to operate independently., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi and site connectivity (SD-WAN and site-to-site VPN).
- Experience supporting file servers, SharePoint, and OneDrive in a business environment.
- Experience securing integrations and file transfer processes (EDI, SFTP/FTP, BPA/workflow automation).
- Experience with manufacturing/warehouse or multi-site operations environments is highly desirable.
- Highly desirable certifications: CompTIA Server+, Security+, ISC2 CISSP, SSCP, Microsoft SC-300, AZ-500, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, ITIL 4

Placement within the range will be based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates whose experience exceeds the minimum requirements for the role may be considered toward the higher end of the pay range, consistent with internal equity and applicable California law.
