Job description

Noblis supports FAA in the management of large and complex telecommunications and information management programs that use state of the art technologies to deliver enterprise infrastructure services essential to the safe and efficient operation of the largest, safest, and most complex aviation system in the world. If you want to be involved in acquiring, implementing, and managing the communications and information solutions to achieve our nation’s aviation vision, this is the job for you!, This role is for a Senior Software Engineer, who will support the team by providing:

  • NCR Second Level Suport.
  • Updating NCR systems and dependencies, including RHEL, OpenShift, Java, and Postgres.
  • Testing existing airgap procedures, investigating potential issues, debugging, updating accordingly, and performing successful updates on Development East.
  • Also responsible for investigating, identifying, and patching potential security vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 16 years experience. Equivalency substitutions to be reviewed for client approval:
  • Master’s degree and 13 years experience
  • Associate’s degree and 18 years experience
  • Ability to travel to meetings at FAA or vendor facilities around the U.S if required by the role.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs within the FAA.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with a minimum of three (3) years of U.S. residency.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and/or in collaborative team environments to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple systems, priorities, and compliance activities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and review formal security documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it’s just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $105,100.00 - USD $164,125.00 /Yr.
