Job description

As a a Steampunk Scrum Master/Project Manager , you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master on an Agile software development team. You will also going to be challenged each day with new and complex mission and delivery opportunities as you serve as the team lead of the Steampunk contingent helping deliver a major mission system.. This effort leverages Public Sector Foundation - Advanced (PSFA) and integrates systems using MuleSoft., + A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies.

  • Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client.

  • Ensure the team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery

  • Lead and manage the members of the Steampunk delivery team contingent

  • Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Scrum Master with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.

  • Scrum Master will help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

  • Scrum Master will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.

  • Scrum Master will support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance.

  • Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work.

  • Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.

  • Coaches the eam to improve collaboration and self-organization

  • Helps the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions.

  • Makes sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved.

  • Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.

  • Perform hands-on project work, including analysis, design and change management, as needed by the project.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the DC area

  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer

  • 4+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies

  • 4+ years of experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master

  • Must have CSM and SAFe certifications

  • Ability to obtain a government clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence

  • Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions

  • Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

  • Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach

The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
