Job description
Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Divisions Manager. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of IT support services and business technology solutions across a multi-site organization. The IT Divisions Manager oversees Tier 1/Tier 2 desktop and infrastructure support serving approximately 200 teammates at the primary Rock Hill office, coordinates remote-hands Tier 2 support across 8 manufacturing facilities, and leads a team of Business Analysts delivering reporting, analytical solutions, and ERP enhancements. The role also carries responsibility for SOX compliance, IT audit coordination, and related regulatory obligations.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with business acumen, excelling at managing cross-functional teams, vendor relationships, and technology initiatives that align with organizational goals.

IT Support Operations (Office & Manufacturing Sites)
- Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support across office users and manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistent service delivery across all locations.
- Define and continuously improve service processes, including ticketing workflows, escalation paths, and SLA performance metrics.
- Manage the full lifecycle of end-user devices, infrastructure, and site technology from procurement through retirement.
- Ensure high availability of network infrastructure, collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Teams), and plant systems.
- Coordinate remote and on-site support for all facilities, including hardware refreshes, network upgrades, and critical incident response.
- Maintain standardized site documentation, asset inventories, and support procedures across all locations.
- Enforce IT security standards, patch compliance, and acceptable use policies across all environments.
Business Analysis & ERP Management
- Directly manage Business Analysts responsible for delivering data solutions, operational reporting, and process improvement initiatives across multiple business segments.
- Oversee scoping, prioritization, and delivery of projects aligned to business stakeholder needs and organizational strategy.
- Manage third-party ERP developer contractors, including statement of work development, deliverable review, invoice approval, and performance assessment.
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for ERP system enhancements, patches, and customizations, ensuring changes are tested, documented, and deployed with minimal disruption.
- Establish and enforce project management standards, change control procedures, and QA practices for ERP and reporting initiatives.
Compliance, Audit & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Lead IT coordination for SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) audits, including preparation of evidence, documentation of IT General Controls (ITGCs), and timely response to auditor requests.
- Maintain and continuously improve internal controls over financial reporting systems, access management, change management, and computer operations.
- Serve as primary IT point of contact for internal and external auditors; manage audit schedules, facilitate walkthroughs, and track remediation of findings.
- Ensure IT operations comply with relevant security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), data governance policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and enforce user access controls, separation of duties, and privileged access management across critical business systems.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans; ensure plans are documented, tested, and aligned with compliance requirements.
- Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance management.
Strategic & Administrative Leadership
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, including staffing, software licensing, hardware, and contractor expenditures.
- Contribute to IT strategic planning by providing operational insights, capacity assessments, and technology roadmap recommendations.
- Produce regular operational reporting and dashboards for IT leadership on support metrics, project status, and team performance.
- Champion change management and communication efforts when rolling out new systems, policies, or technology changes.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing support teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing Tier 1/Tier 2 helpdesk or desktop support operations, including SLA management and ticketing systems.
- Proven track record managing business analysts or technology project teams delivering ERP or enterprise application solutions.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and contractors, including contract oversight and performance management.
- Familiarity with SOX IT General Controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance obligations for IT environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint management (Intune or similar), and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support manufacturing facility engagements., * Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization with manufacturing operations.
