Job description
As a Part-Time Student for the JD Enterprise Technical Information Development (ETID) organization located in Urbandale, IA , you will help create and deliver technical information for John Deere products by leveraging modern authoring platforms and collaborating across the organization. You will play a key role in shaping how we produce, connect, and improve the technical content that supports our customers. In addition, you will:
- Utilize Adobe platforms (such as Adobe Editor and InDesign) to create, structure, and publish technical information matched to Precision Technologies
- Participate in weekly global standup meetings and deliver progress reports as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and content teams to gather requirements and deliver clear, accurate documentation
- Apply familiarity with artificial intelligence tools to accelerate content creation, review, and continuous improvement of technical information, The terms of the applicable benefit plans, and all company actions administering or interpreting these plans, continue to control. Requirements
- Detail oriented and have familiarity working with large data sets
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to build relationships and influence without authority
- Strong time management, organization, and planning skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university
- Graduation date of December 2028 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
- Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to Urbandale, IA on a semi-regular basis, * Experience with Adobe platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, FrameMaker, Illustrator, or Creative Cloud) for creating technical content
- Experience in developing and executing communication plansDemonstrated digital dexterity, with the ability to quickly adapt to and use a variety of digital tools and platforms effectively
- Experience with AI
- Skills in content creation, facilitation, or newsletter development
- Familiarity with innovation or agile team environments
- Desire to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team
Education
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in:
- Communications, marketing, business, or a related field
