Job description

The Prinect Color Specialist is responsible for delivering color management consulting, implementation, training, and technical support services for Heidelberg Prinect Production and Sheetfed customers. This position helps customers optimize color workflows, improve print consistency, and achieve high-quality color reproduction through the effective use of Heidelberg color management solutions. The role requires extensive customer interaction, strong technical expertise, and the ability to travel frequently to customer locations throughout the United States., * Conduct on-site customer training for press calibration, proofing systems, device calibration, and color workflow optimization.

  • Implement and maintain color management solutions within the Heidelberg Prinect ecosystem.
  • Troubleshoot color workflow, print quality, and software-related issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support to customers and internal support teams.
  • Assist with escalation and resolution of customer-reported issues, software enhancements, and product defects.
  • Create and maintain training materials, user guides, and best-practice documentation.
  • Document customer activities, project updates, training sessions, and service recommendations.
  • Support Sales Representatives and Project Managers with customer evaluations, solution recommendations, and professional color management opportunities.
  • Conduct workflow audits to identify process improvements, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Deliver consulting services improve customer workflow efficiency and color performance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful customer implementation and ongoing support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of color theory and color management principles.
  • Experience with print production systems and workflows.
  • Understanding of prepress, pressroom, postpress, and computer-to-plate (CtP) operations.
  • Experience delivering technical training and customer education programs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Heidelberg Prinect Color Toolbox and Heidelberg color management services.
  • Experience implementing industry-standard color workflows in commercial printing environments.
  • Experience working for a printing technology or workflow software provider.
  • Degree or certification in Print Management, Graphic Communications, or a related field.
