Systems Engineer

• Decompose high-level automation & autonomy features into system-level functional requirements, maintain clear traceability and documentation
• Define the system architecture, interfaces, and integration strategy across the machine subsystems
• Collaborate on the design approach and trade-offs
• Develop features integrating across hardware, software, sensors, and control systems
• Create and track FMEAs
• Cross-functional coordination with machine systems, software, digital teams, validation, and product support
• Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting
• Track schedule, deliverables, and technical risk, * This position is for a systems engineer for the development and integration of advanced technology with heavy-duty equipment / machines. This includes the integration of sensors, components, and software for automation & autonomy products.

• Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experience; Masters - 3 years exp
• Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited engineering or robotics or equivalent technical field;

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Development and tracking of requirements
• Strong understanding of integrating sensors, computer, and software
• Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in the areas of robotics, remote control, or autonomy
• Experience with datalinks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and associated tools (CANape, Wireshark, etc.)
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with software development tools such as git, debuggers, and compilers
• Experience with ROS
• Experience with perception and positioning sensor configuration and calibration
• Experience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes
• Experience developing systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications
