Senior Data Analyst - Data Analytics Division

The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to serve on our Data Analytics Division and support audit efforts by leading complex data analysis.

As part of our team, you will get to: Identify risk indicators and develop tools to enhance audit effectiveness Design and develop interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting tools that clearly communicate findings and drive decision-making Identify trends, anomalies, and performance issues in state agency and internal operational data Provide quality assurance and peer review for analysis and visual products developed by junior analysts Collaborate with audit teams to define data needs and deliver insights that enhance audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, * If you have earned a foreign degree, an official evaluation for United States equivalency is required and must be submitted to Human Resources for verification purposes.

• Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for analysis (e.g., Python, R)

A bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting and 12 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security from an appropriately accredited institution and 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer security

A bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security and 12 semester hours in accounting/business from an appropriately accredited institution and 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer security
