Cash Application Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for accurately posting customer payments, reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, and supporting overall accounts receivable operations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with financial systems and payment processing., * Post customer payments received by check, ACH, wire transfer, lockbox, and credit card to customer accounts

• Reconcile daily cash receipts and ensure timely and accurate application of payments
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies
• Work closely with accounts receivable, billing, and customer service teams to resolve account issues
• Maintain accurate records of payment activity and account adjustments
• Prepare cash application reports and support month-end close processes
• Assist with account reconciliations and audit requests
• Identify opportunities to improve cash posting efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or accounting support preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and payment posting
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
