Job description
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) effectively and efficiently.
- Coach the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Coach the Product Owner on maximizing value and refining the Product Backlog.
- Guide the organization in its adoption of Scrum, helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact empirical product development.
- Lead the team in continuous improvement efforts, leveraging retrospectives to enhance processes, tools, and team dynamics.
- Promote transparency by ensuring clear communication of team progress, challenges, and metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the Scrum Team and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Collaborate with HR business partners, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of HR technology projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team, preferably within an HR or enterprise systems context.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices (Scrum)
- Experience with .NET development environments and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Human Resources (HR) or with HR-related systems.
- Additional Agile certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II, SAFe Scrum Master).
- Technical background in Oracle development or related technologies.
- Experience with change management and organizational transformation.
- Experience working with the Air Force or Space Force
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
