Job description

As a Build Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and improving our build, integration, and delivery systems, helping ensure the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of our engineering pipeline. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of build and release systems across multiple products.
  • Developing andmaintainingCI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and deployment workflows to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Supportingand improving development workflows built around Bamboo, Jira, and other Atlassian products.
  • Building, refining, and troubleshooting integrations between build systems, issue tracking tools, source control, and related engineering platforms.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, QA, producers, and technical leadership toidentifybottlenecks and improve development efficiency.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, documented, and efficient automation code and configuration.
  • Debugging and improving build performance, infrastructure reliability, and pipeline stability across multiple environments.
  • Participating in technical discussions around systems used across multiple products and internal initiatives.
  • Participating in the full development lifecycle, from technical planning through delivery, in an agile work environment.
  • Assistingin the integration of modern tooling, AI-assisted workflows, and scalable infrastructure practices into our development ecosystem.
  • Contributing to technical documentation, process improvements, and engineering best practices.
  • Helping support discussions around future tooling, pipeline strategy, and high-level server architecture decisions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience inbuildengineering, DevOps, release engineering, software infrastructure, ora relatedfield.
  • Experience supporting or improving CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems.
  • Familiarity with Bamboo and Jira in a software development environment.
  • Experience with or exposure to integrating Jira and other Atlassian products into engineering workflows.
  • General understanding of software delivery processes, build workflows, release practices, and dependency management.
  • Experience working with source/version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through technical challenges with guidance when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on time-critical projects.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate progress, issues, and technical ideas.

Bonus Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Azure Pipelines or other modern CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience helping improve legacy build systems or transition workflows to updated tooling stacks.
  • Interest in evaluating and integrating AI-enabled tooling into engineering workflows in practical, maintainable ways.
  • Experience with Unity build pipelines, Unity Package Manager, and command-line scripts for building, packaging, testing, and validating Unity projects.
  • Experience with telemetry systems, large-scale data workflows, or other data-intensive technical environments.
  • General understanding of large data management concepts and how telemetry can support product, platform, or operational decision-making.
  • Experience supporting software teams working across multiple products, platforms, or technical stacks.
  • General understanding of Unity shader pipelines, the Forward+ rendering path, and shader keyword management and variant stripping.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
