Job description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Manager specialized in Data Center environments to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a secure, compliant, and healthy workplace. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs tailored to the unique demands of data center construction and operations. Your expertise will help foster a safety-first culture, mitigate risks, and uphold all relevant occupational health and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices at a critical infrastructure facility while promoting continuous improvement and team engagement., * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies aligned with construction site safety regulations, OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all data center construction and operational areas to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions for construction teams, contractors, and staff on topics such as electrical safety procedures, OSHA compliance, occupational health best practices, NFPA standards, and emergency response protocols including first aid and CPR.
- Manage incident investigations by documenting accidents or near-misses, analyzing root causes, and recommending preventive measures to reduce future risks.
- Oversee compliance management efforts to ensure adherence to construction workplace safety regulations and occupational health requirements.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety into project planning, scheduling, and daily operations.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation using construction management software tools.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of risk management principles within construction environments.
- Strong understanding of occupational health practices specific to data center construction sites.
- Proven experience with OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Skilled in construction site safety management with a focus on electrical safety procedures and workplace hazard mitigation.
- Excellent team leadership abilities with experience in safety training implementation and fostering a culture of safety awareness.
- Proficiency in construction management software for tracking compliance activities and safety documentation.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams including contractors, project managers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategic solutions to complex safety challenges.
