Job description
The IT Support Specialist provides day-to-day technical support and assist with maintaining the company’s IT systems and infrastructure. This position supports employees across multiple locations by resolving hardware, software, network, and account-access issues. The ideal candidate has Microsoft 365 experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users., Help Desk & End-User Support
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other company equipment.
- Respond to help desk requests and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Assist users with password resets, multifactor authentication, and account-access issues.
- Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, and general network-connectivity issues.
Systems Administration & Cloud Support
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Manage user permissions, security groups, file access, and distribution groups.
- Assist with Group Policy, system configurations, software updates, and patching.
- Administer Exchange Online mailboxes, licenses, and user provisioning.
- Support Intune, endpoint management, and hybrid Microsoft environments.
Security, Assets & Vendor Support
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, phishing awareness, and MFA deployment.
- Identify and report potential security incidents.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and track company-issued devices.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory and equipment-assignment records.
- Coordinate with vendors on escalated technical issues and third-party systems.
- Maintain clear documentation for IT procedures, systems, and troubleshooting steps.
Competencies:
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, phishing awareness, and MFA deployment.

- Employees must remain available during scheduled working hours, except during approved meal periods and breaks.
- A five-minute grace period applies before and after the scheduled start time.
- When possible, employees should provide at least four hours’ notice if they expect to be late.
- Overtime must be approved in advance.
- Microsoft Teams is the primary form of internal communication.
Work Environment:
This job is primarily based in an indoor office environment with standard office equipment and facilities.
Physical Demands:
This job requires light physical activity performing nonstrenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. The employee must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Three to five years of IT support or systems administration experience preferred.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with Intune or another endpoint-management platform.
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Apple Business Manager is preferred, but not required.
- Experience or working knowledge of Cisco Meraki switches, firewalls, and wireless access points is preferred, but not required., * Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
