Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical software for a DoD program, delivering scalable, secure systems. You’ll lead technical directions in a SAFe/Agile setting and mentor junior developers to raise the team’s capability. You will work across front-end and back-end stacks, focusing on high-performance microservices and real-time features. Compensation / Benefits * Design and prototype software components and data systems for current and emerging technologies * Produce technical documentation for development and system management * Develop microservices-based solutions using Java Spring Boot with scalability and fault tolerance * Write production-ready code in Java and TypeScript for secure, high-performance apps * Build responsive front-ends with ReactJS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI * Implement RESTful APIs with proper authentication, error handling, and documentation * Utilize WebSockets for real-time collaboration dashboards * Configure RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing and system integration * Leverage JPA/Hibernate for database operations * Perform automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) * Manage Git workflows with branching strategies * Troubleshoot Kubernetes deployment issues end-to-end * Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship * Document system architecture and code standards in Confluence * Plan and track work with Jira, including user stories and impediments * Participate in SAFe PI planning and architectural decision records * Travel approximately 10 weeks to multiple locations Tasks * 3+ years of full-stack software development * 3+ years of CI/CD experience in an agile DevOps environment * 3+ years’ experience with .net, C#, JavaScript, containers, and microservices * 3+ years’ experience with SQL and database design * 2+ years’ experience with HTML and CSS * 2+ years’ experience with Git * Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes * Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent tools * Experience in Agile environments and as a Scrum team member * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and take initiative * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite * Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and US citizenship Key requirements * excellent benefits * career advancement * stability * employee-focused culture
