Job description

Experteer Overview As System Engineering Lead, you direct the hardware direction for next-gen wired networking devices. You will align hardware architecture with product goals, manufacturability, and regulatory needs, working with hardware, mechanical, and software teams. You shape multi-gigabit Ethernet switches, PoE solutions, and gateway products while ensuring smooth integration across subsystems. Your role combines technical leadership with hands-on design reviews, validation planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable networking hardware. Compensation / Benefits * Define hardware system architecture and requirements for multi-gigabit Ethernet switches, high-port PoE PSEs, and wired gateway products across rack-mount and desktop forms * Drive platform decisions: networking ASICs, Ethernet PHYs, SFP interfaces, PoE, power, and thermal strategy * Develop and maintain hardware documentation (architecture, functional specs, performance specs) * Lead design reviews, board bring-up, and signal integrity optimization; resolve complex system-level issues * Define design and test strategies for system validation and regulatory compliance (Ethernet, PoE, EMI/EMC, safety) * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple wired networking programs * Support manufacturing during NPI and mass production transition Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field * 8+ years of system-level hardware design for wired networking products * 5+ years as hardware technical lead (architecture to production readiness) * Direct experience with networking ASIC or packet processor integration (Broadcom, Marvell, or equivalent) * Experience with high-speed SerDes design and PCB SI review; stack-up optimization for multi-gigabit designs * Understanding of PoE system design (802.3af/at/bt) and power delivery for 24+ ports Key requirements * health insurance * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parential leave * RSUs * sign-on payments
