IT Project Coordinator

The IT Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects, specifically focusing on the Common App program. This position ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational goals by coordinating efforts among team members, managing vendor relationships, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The coordinator also supports compliance with PMO methodologies and assists in budget and resource management. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, executing, and closing projects to meet organizational and program objectives.
• Support vendor management and procurement activities.
• Liaise with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, and status reports.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and escalate as needed to meet timelines.
• Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing project documentation including partnership agreements and risk management plans.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are met.
• Utilize project management software to track performance and goal completion.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and PMO standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in budget management and resource allocation.

• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Planview, Procore).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives.
• Advanced analytical skills for assessing project performance and making data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in PMO processes including project portfolio, resource, and risk management.
• Capability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and conduct training sessions.
