Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer you will safeguard data and systems across global platforms, monitoring security activities and leading policy and rule optimization. You’ll collaborate with IT and product teams to implement robust security measures aligned with company goals. This role focuses on preventing and remediating incidents, ensuring secure operations while supporting a scalable security posture. You will help shape security strategy within a mission-driven, cross-functional engineering environment. Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade firewall solutions (including next-gen) to enforce security policies * Configure and deploy security tools in cloud environments (cloud access security brokers, WAFs, cloud-native security services) * Architect and deploy secure access service edge solutions for distributed networks and remote users * Implement and optimize centralized identity and access management with least-privilege access * Utilize Microsoft Security Suite for threat detection, investigation, and response across on-prem and cloud * Develop and implement cybersecurity policies aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements * Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation * Communicate complex security concepts to cross-functional teams to drive initiatives * Other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelor * 5+ years in security engineering, SecOps, Data Loss Prevention, event management, security monitoring, and risk-based alerting * Proven experience with Identity, Firewall, Cloud, and SIEM tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Okta, Duo, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, Windows Defender, OCI, Sentinel) * Strong ability to convey risk and security issues clearly and actionable * Good judgment, urgency, and commitment to ethics, compliance, and customer service * Automation or scripting experience (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell) preferred * Strong written and oral communication; ability to work with multiple functional groups * Strong organizational skills and prioritization in a fast-paced environment * Approximately 5% travel Key requirements * healthcare coverage * 401(k) savings plan * paid time off * company holidays * sick leave * parential leave
