Cybersecurity Analyst

Experteer Overview In this role you help protect critical data and systems as part of American Tower’s corporate Information Security team. You will oversee detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of complex security events using Microsoft Sentinel, collaborating with managed detection partners. You’ll translate technical findings into actionable remediation and contribute to improving SOC processes. This position sits at the intersection of threat detection, incident response, and cross-functional coordination, enabling you to shape defensive capabilities at a global scale. You’ll work with diverse teams to embed security into IT planning and operations and stay ahead of evolving cyber threats. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee identification, analysis, containment, and remediation of complex security events using Microsoft Sentinel * Analyze security events and alerts escalated from junior analysts to determine threats and impacts * Develop and implement runbooks and incident response procedures to minimize incident impact and restore operations * Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, and Office with guidance to strengthen defenses * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to investigate incidents and support regulatory compliance * Stay informed on emerging threats and advise preventive measures and countermeasures * Partner with IT and business units to ensure security is considered in hardware/software evaluation, installation, and configuration Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience * Minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience with incident response and SOC operations * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex incidents * Ability to communicate technical details concisely to diverse audiences * Approximately 5% travel required * Strong written and oral communication skills * Ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups and operate in a fast-paced environment Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * healthcare coverage * 401(k) savings plan * paid time off * company holidays * sick leave
