Feature Lead / Tech Lead - Java

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and build event-driven systems using Kafka
• Take end-to-end ownership of the feature lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design to deployment and post-release monitoring
• Drive technical standards by performing rigorous code reviews and implementing best practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Optimize database interactions and schema design using Oracle
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term fixes

• 10+ years of experience in backend development with Java
• Deep expertise in Java (Java 17/21 preferred) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data)
• Proven experience in designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven patterns
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for building event-driven systems
• Strong proficiency and experience with Oracle databases, including performance tuning and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing
• Expertise in TDD/BDD practices and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers)
• Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical leadership skills
