Job description

Candidate must report to Harris Health (onsite) 2-3 times per year in Houston, Texas, The Epic ClinDoc Analyst will support the implementation, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing operational support of the Epic Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) application within a hospital environment. This role will work closely with clinical stakeholders, IT teams, physicians, nurses, and other end users to analyze workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and configure Epic solutions that support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care., * Provide ongoing application support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the Epic ClinDoc application.

  • Analyze clinical workflows and translate business and clinical requirements into effective Epic solutions.
  • Partner with nursing, physician, clinical, and operational stakeholders to understand workflow needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Configure and maintain Epic ClinDoc functionality in accordance with organizational requirements and Epic best practices.
  • Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, enhancements, optimization initiatives, and new functionality deployments.
  • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios for application changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
  • Document application changes, workflows, configuration decisions, testing results, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with other Epic application teams and technical teams to support integrated workflows and enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Participate in integrated testing and validation of workflows that cross multiple Epic applications.
  • Support system build, including appropriate configuration of clinical documentation workflows, records, templates, and related functionality.
  • Assist with system upgrades, including impact analysis, testing, issue resolution, and post-upgrade validation.
  • Provide support for production issues and participate in an on-call or escalation rotation as required.
  • Develop training materials and assist with end-user education when needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clinical and operational leadership regarding application functionality, issues, enhancements, and project status.
  • Follow established change management, testing, security, and documentation standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic ClinDoc, clinical documentation workflows, system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support within an acute-care healthcare environment., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, or a related field; equivalent healthcare IT experience may be considered.

  • Epic ClinDoc certification required.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic applications in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and acute-care clinical operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic application configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and optimization.
  • Experience working directly with clinical stakeholders and translating workflow requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a large or complex Epic implementation.
  • Experience with Epic upgrades, optimization projects, and new functionality.
  • Experience working with nursing, physician, ancillary, or other clinical workflows.
  • Experience with integrated testing across multiple Epic applications.
  • Previous experience working in an acute-care hospital environment.
  • Epic experience with related applications such as Orders, Inpatient Clinical Systems, ASAP, or other clinical applications is a plus.
  • Experience with workflow analysis, process improvement, and change management.
  • Epic proficiency or additional Epic certifications are highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Epic ClinDoc Analyst who understands both the technical and clinical sides of healthcare IT. They should be comfortable partnering with clinicians and hospital leadership, translating complex clinical requirements into practical Epic solutions, and taking ownership of issues from analysis through resolution.

Epic ClinDoc certification and recent hands-on ClinDoc experience are strongly preferred.
