Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own the application code that controls Motion’s always-on, per-customer cloud environments. This is a novel infrastructure problem with no existing playbook - you’ll be defining the patterns and standards as we scale from roughly 500 to 2,000-3,000 customer environments. You’ll work alongside two of our strongest engineers on a small, high-ownership team with weekly shipping cycles, and your work will run in production for thousands of marketers daily., * Write infrastructure application code covering VM lifecycle management, container updates, queues, observability, and security

• Scale customer-facing cloud environments from ~500 to 2,000-3,000 always-on, isolated, per-customer instances
• Design reliable abstractions for messaging queues, locks, background tasks, and service bus mechanics
• Evolve our Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and define the Pulumi standards other engineers will follow
• Work deep in the systems layer: Linux, containers, networking, persistent storage, and runtime debugging

• 6+ years of experience owning core infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to write production application code (approximate split of 60% backend / 40% infrastructure)
• Background at an AI-native startup
• Experience building and scaling per-customer isolated environments
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Deep cloud platform experience; Azure strongly preferred
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills

$250,000 - $325,000 a year - Full-time, Salary: $250,000 - $325,000+ base, plus competitive equity, * Base salary: $250,000 - $325,000+

Pay: $250,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year
