Job description

Seeking a Data Engineer (Snowflake) to join the clients team supporting enterprise analytics and data initiatives. Ideal candidate will combine Snowflake administration, strong SQL, ETL/data engineering, data integration, and troubleshooting skills. The position will support the development and maintenance of foundational data solutions used by business users, analytics teams, applications, and reporting platforms., * Provide Snowflake administration and development support, including database objects, access grants, permissions, and create statements.

  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries, views, and data solutions.
  • Investigate and trace data, query, and system issues across multiple enterprise platforms.
  • Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines for integrating, transforming, and normalizing data from multiple sources.
  • Support data orchestration, job scheduling, and automated data processes.
  • Monitor and help maintain data freshness, availability, reliability, and quality.
  • Integrate and normalize datasets across enterprise data platforms.
  • Design and build data objects and solutions rather than relying solely on pre-existing code or procedures.
  • Review data solutions for efficiency, performance, compute usage, and storage costs, particularly within Snowflake.
  • Manage user access and role-based permissions while supporting data governance requirements.
  • Support the modernization of analytics and reporting capabilities across the organization.
  • Document database architecture, data flows, processes, and program-specific solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data specialists, scientists, enterprise technology teams, and internal business customers.
  • Support users consuming enterprise data through Power BI, applications, analytics platforms, and other solutions.
  • Respond to internal data requests and help users identify, access, and consume the appropriate datasets.
  • Help establish consistent data engineering practices and develop scalable, optimized solutions.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience may also be considered based on skill alignment and interest in the role.
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with ETL/data engineering and data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating and normalizing data from multiple sources.
  • Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue-resolution capabilities.
  • Understanding of database administration, access management, and permissions.
  • Experience with data orchestration and job scheduling.
  • Ability to independently build, troubleshoot, and support data solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Hands-on Snowflake administration/development, access management, database objects, troubleshooting, performance, and cost considerations.

Strong ability to independently develop, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries and views.

Experience building or supporting data pipelines, data integration, normalization, orchestration, scheduling, and reliable data delivery.
