Management System Analyst

The Management Systems Analyst will primarily support the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) in its participation in the Streamlined Sales Tax initiative, a collaborative effort between states, local governments, businesses, and other partners to define processes and collect sales taxes. The role also involves providing support to the KDOR Business Intelligence team through ad hoc and scheduled queries of department data. Additionally, this position will assist with the coordination of Kansas’ free Income Tax filing program, WebFile. Full Position Description This position is based in Topeka, KS located at the Scott building. Interviews will be conducted in person.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications: Four years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data.

Preferred Experience: Familiarity with State of Kansas Sales and Use Tax rules and applications.

Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, KDOR tax systems, proofreading, editing, attention to detail, SAS, SQL, and Power BI or similar.
