Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team in Portland, OR. You’ll work across the entire stack-from designing intuitive front-end interfaces to building robust back-end systems and APIs-helping us deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, collaborates well with cross-functional teams, and wants to make a meaningful technical impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications across the full technology stack (front-end and back-end)
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our tech stack

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, or Angular
  • Solid back-end experience with languages/frameworks such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), Ruby on Rails, or Java (Spring)
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience a plus
  • Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices: testing, code review, agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Contributions to open-source projects

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $103,074.94 - $124,133.26 per year
