Job description
Chemco Corp is seeking a motivated Junior IT Support & Automation Specialist to support our employees, technology systems, and internal automation projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career technology professional who is highly motivated, resourceful, and interested in developing practical experience in IT support, Microsoft 365, business automation, and artificial intelligence.
The selected candidate will assist employees with everyday technology issues, configure computers and user accounts, support remote employees, and work directly with upper management to improve and automate internal business processes.
We are looking for someone who does not need to know everything on day one but is comfortable researching problems, learning quickly, and taking ownership until an issue is resolved., * Provide technical support to employees for computers, printers, software, email, Microsoft Teams, internet connectivity, and related issues.
- Set up computers, workstations, Microsoft 365 accounts, email, and system access for new employees.
- Configure equipment and secure system access for remote and overseas employees.
- Assist with employee IT onboarding and offboarding.
- Troubleshoot Windows, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain an organized inventory of computers, equipment, software licenses, and assigned devices.
- Assist with password resets, permissions, software installation, system updates, antivirus protection, and basic cybersecurity.
- Work with outside IT providers when additional support is needed.
- Create and maintain clear instructions for common IT procedures and issues.
- Assist management with Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint, and Power Automate projects.
- Build and test workflows for approvals, notifications, requests, tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor existing automations and troubleshoot errors when they occur.
- Use Claude and other approved AI tools to research technical issues, document processes, improve workflows, and increase employee productivity.
- Help train employees on new technology, systems, and automated processes.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks that could be simplified or automated.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, business technology, or a related field; comparable practical experience will also be considered.
- Basic understanding of computers, Windows, networking, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Practical experience using Claude for school, work, personal projects, research, coding, troubleshooting, or productivity.
- Strong ability to research unfamiliar technical problems and develop solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to assist employees with both basic and more complex technology issues.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Miami Lakes., * Internship, school project, help desk, computer repair, or technical-support experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists, or Power Apps.
- Experience setting up computers and user accounts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, or basic cybersecurity.
- Experience using AI tools to solve business or technical problems.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI, APIs, scripting, or programming.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse, or office environment is a plus.
