• Mentor and advise doctoral candidates as they develop their scholarly voice and research capabilities.
• Guide students in the design, conduct, and communication of applied business research.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback that advances both academic rigor and professional growth.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive online learning environment that supports student success.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum, assessment, and student experience.

City University of Seattle’s School of Business and Management is seeking experienced business leaders to join our Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program as Associate Faculty. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a doctoral degree who have built their expertise through industry leadership, consulting, entrepreneurship, or other applied professional experience., To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Earned doctorate (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) in business, management, or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience; 20 or more years preferred.
• Understanding of the practitioner-faculty model, with a genuine passion for teaching, and a commitment to maintaining current knowledge in one’s field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a working knowledge of APA 7th edition style.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience guiding students through applied research dissertations.
• An established record of publication and presentation, supported by a currently active research agenda.
• Substantive executive, consulting, or senior leadership experience that enriches applied research mentorship.

Salary Information:

Part-time Associate Faculty salary is based on the number of course credits (1-6) and the number of students in the class. The pay range is $600-$6,000 per course.
