Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Platform Developer II to serve as a senior technical resource and trusted advisor for complex Salesforce development initiatives across a large, multi-org enterprise environment.

The environment includes 11 Salesforce orgs using a combination of Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud, each supporting different business processes and implementation requirements.

This role goes beyond hands-on coding. The selected developer will provide technical guidance to multiple Salesforce development teams, review complex custom development, establish scalable solution patterns, troubleshoot difficult platform issues, evaluate vendor-delivered code, and help ensure solutions meet architecture, governance, security, performance, and maintainability standards.

The strongest candidate will combine advanced hands-on Salesforce development expertise with the ability to provide technical leadership across multiple teams and Salesforce orgs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide senior-level technical guidance and oversight to Salesforce development teams.
  • Design and review scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple enterprise Salesforce orgs.
  • Develop and review Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, integrations, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, high-performing, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Review custom development for compliance with coding standards, architecture principles, security requirements, and platform best practices.
  • Support development initiatives across Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
  • Serve as a lead technical resource for complex enhancements and custom Salesforce development initiatives.
  • Review code and technical designs produced by internal and external development teams.
  • Evaluate vendor development deliverables for code quality, technical accuracy, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify potential technical debt, scalability concerns, and platform risks.
  • Participate in release planning, code reviews, testing coordination, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex Salesforce application, integration, performance, and configuration issues.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for difficult development and integration problems.
  • Optimize Apex, queries, integrations, and application functionality where required.
  • Document technical designs, architecture recommendations, development patterns, and solution decisions.
  • Provide recommendations regarding Salesforce coding standards and development best practices.
  • Support CI/CD, version-control, release-management, and DevOps activities.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, new functionality, development capabilities, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional Salesforce development experience.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Apex.
  • Strong experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Advanced knowledge of SOQL and SOSL.
  • Strong Salesforce integration-development experience.
  • Strong experience working with Salesforce APIs.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security models.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce governor limits and scalable development practices.
  • Ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  • Experience reviewing and troubleshooting complex Salesforce custom development.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to Salesforce developers and development teams.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
