Solutions Engineer

Experteer Overview In this Solutions Engineer role you partner with Account Executives to drive Cisco Networking solutions across Americas, focusing on secure networking. You will translate customer requirements into technical designs, lead demonstrations and PoC labs, and align with cross-functional teams to shape the solution roadmap. You’ll engage with key decision-makers, articulate product value, and enable partners and teams to win complex deals. This role combines deep technical acumen with strong customer engagement to drive business growth. Compensation / Benefits * Partner with Account Executives to drive opportunities and growth * Lead demand generation activities and customer engagements * Deliver product demos and PoC labs to illustrate value * Map customer requirements to technical solutions and network designs * Maintain competitive knowledge and position Cisco offerings effectively * Collaborate cross-functionally with Portfolio Account Teams and Partners * Contribute to RFP responses and solution-specific messaging * Stay current on networking trends and market transitions * Support complex digital transformation opportunities for customers * Align with multiple business entities to influence features and roadmap Tasks * 5+ years designing Routing, Wireless, and Switching deployments (On-Prem and Cloud) * 5+ years of networking protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LISP) and segmentation technologies (VRF, MPLS, ZeroTrust, SDA, 802.1x, Adaptive Policy) * Understanding of competitive networking products (HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet) * Pre-sales experience is preferred * BS/BA or equivalent (EE/CS preferred) or higher * Strong critical thinking and customer-focused mindset * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment * Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, DevNet, AWS, Google, Terraform are a plus * API and programmability knowledge is a plus Key requirements * Medical, dental and vision insurance * 401(k) with Cisco matching * Paid parental leave * Paid holidays * Volunteer time * Sick time and flexible vacation options
