Job description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tableau BI Developer in Grand Rapids, MI.
Key Tasks:
- Design, build, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to support key business initiatives
- Write and maintain efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and preparation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into impactful BI solutions
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across dashboards and reports
- Contribute to report scheduling, automation, and governance best practices
- Assist in evaluating and supporting SSRS reporting needs
- Review and troubleshoot legacy ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS
- Participate in end-user training and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with Information Technology/Mathematical emphasis or equivalent work experience is preferred
- 3+ years of report development and analytical experience, with 2+ years of Tableau/SSRS/SSIS experience is preferred
- Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills coupled with business acumen needed to proactively solve problems facing the organization
- Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly
- Knowledge of Safe or Scrum Agile to track stories and tasks associated with the goals to deliver value
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including schema design, normalization, and denormalization
- Exposure to data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and security/compliance standards such as SOX, SOC 2, or equivalent
- Deep experience developing BI dashboards, along with SSRS reporting, within a complex IT/enterprise environment
- Proficiency in SQL for data modeling, transformation, and querying across relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with Insurance knowledge is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
