Job description
- Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts within virtual environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation across development, QA, staging, and production.
- Design and implement automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, management, and orchestration.
- Implement and manage network orchestration tools in coordination with foundational automation teams.
- Deploy code using continuous integration and conduct testing using established frameworks, adding new cases as needed.
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with DevOps, network engineers, and software developers to streamline operations and processes.
- Participate in team on-call rotations to support application users when required.
- Translate stakeholder network requirements into technical solutions and communicate decisions to management and teams.
- Lead architectural discussions and decisions related to network and automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network architects and engineers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, code, and configurations.
Requirements
We are seeking a Senior Network Automation / Network Security Architect to join our dynamic team on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days onsite per week. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network automation, systems administration, CI/CD, and enterprise networking and a proven ability to design, implement, and secure scalable network solutions with automated workflows., * Proficiency in network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, and VRFs.
- Very strong Python programming skills and Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Experience with Ansible and network automation practices.
- Familiarity with SDN technologies such as Arista CVP and Cisco ACI.
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform.
- In-depth network security background with some architecture experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Proven experience as a network architect or senior network engineer, 7+ years.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced networking certifications such as CCIE or JNCIE.
- Arista ACE Level 5+ or Cisco DevNet S/P/E.
- Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and Nautobot.
