Software Engineer - Level 2 or 3

As a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and debugging of software applications. This includes researching, identifying, and implementing solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary software problems. It also includes close collaboration with fellow software engineers, algorithms developers, hardware engineers, systems engineers, program managers and technical leadership., * Kubernetes/K3s

• Up to 10% travel (only if needed)

This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer - Level 2 or a Principal Software Engineer - Level 3.

Basic Qualifications (Software Engineer - Level 2 or 3):

• Software Engineer Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree in STEM and 0-2 years of related work experience.
• Principal Software Engineer Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree in STEM and 3 years of related work experience, or a PhD. and 1 year of related work experience.
• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Containerization tool experience (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker products, Podman, etc)
• Configuration Management Tools (Git etc.)
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins etc.)
• Agile development exposure
• C++ templating

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
