Job description

Nightwing is seeking Software Engineer that supports the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems for mission-critical offensive cyber operations. This position applies software engineering principles and SAFe Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The engineer works within cross-functional teams to implement features that meet technical, functional, and security requirements throughout the software lifecycle., * Develop software features according to user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Implement automated unit and integration tests (80% coverage minimum)
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming
  • Support DevSecOps pipeline implementation and maintenance
  • Develop microservices using containerization technologies
  • Integrate with Government platform services and APIs
  • Participate in all team-level SAFe ceremonies
  • Support troubleshooting and production issue resolution
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent substitution)
  • Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing
  • Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph
  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area

Benefits & conditions

The salary associated with this position ($64,000-$128,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
