Job description
The Senior Network Engineer role is responsible for operating, designing, planning and implementing local and wide-area network solutions and services between multiple platforms and protocols, including IP and VOIP. The incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting network issues and coordinating with vendors for installation of routers and switches. The role requires providing project implementation assistance, project planning, cost analysis, vendor comparisons, training, and assisting with proposal writing.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: * Design, plan, and implement local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP)

Install, configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, proactively identify potential issues using network management tools and diagnostic utilities, including working with system administrators to ensure smooth operation of all IT systems

Develop and maintain network security policies, including regular testing and preventative maintenance

Work with cross-functional teams to identify and document network requirements, and manage project implementations

Evaluate and make recommendations on new network technologies/products to improve network resilience, performance and reduce costs

Create training for end-users on enterprise network functionality and provide post-implementation support

Assist with proposal writing, including identifying key networking-related items, requirements and details

Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons
This role is not remote/ hybrid and will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113. This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Requirements
-
4+ years of experience in application infrastructure or network engineering *
-
Expertise in routing protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and experience with network security systems such as Firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS *

Expertise in various networking technologies such as LAN, WANs, MPLS, and VPNs *
-
Experience supporting multi-vendor environments including Aruba, Cisco, F5, among others. *

Understanding of OSI model, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and TCP/IP protocols *

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management execution *
- Experience reporting on network solutions and identifying continuous improvement and automation opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in the field of application infrastructure or network engineering
- Must be legally authorized to work in the Untied States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age *, + One or more of the following Certifications preferred: CCNP, CCIE, Network+, CCNA
