IT Manager

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead day-to-day technology operations for a growing technology consulting company supporting federal healthcare programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats across infrastructure, security, and end-user support while working closely with engineering and business teams. The IT Manager will serve as the primary internal technology owner, responsible for maintaining reliable systems, supporting employees, managing devices, and ensuring the company maintains appropriate security and compliance practices for government contracting environments. This is a high-ownership role where the successful candidate will operate independently while partnering with engineering teams and leadership to support a modern cloud-first environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Operations & Infrastructure

• Manage the company’s internal technology environment including cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and end-user systems.
• Administer core platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft services, Slack,, and AWS.
• Evaluate new tools and manage integrations between systems where needed.
• Maintain and manage endpoint devices using JAMF and device management tools.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding including account provisioning, access control, and device setup.
• Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of company hardware.
• Provide helpdesk support and troubleshoot employee technical issues across the organization.
• Build and maintain automation and internal tooling to drive efficient corporate operations

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Maintain baseline cybersecurity practices appropriate for a government contracting environment.
• Assist leadership with compliance expectations related to CMS, GSA, and FedRAMP-aligned environments.
• Support implementation and maintenance of security tools, identity management, and endpoint protection.
• Monitor systems for security risks and coordinate response to incidents when necessary.
• Support internal security awareness practices and access control policies.

Business Continuity & Risk Management

• Maintain backup and recovery processes for critical company systems.
• Assist with development of disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
• Document IT systems, procedures, and architecture for operational continuity.

• 1-3 years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, or IT operations
• Experience supporting cloud-first environments
• Familiarity with AWS environments and developer tooling
• Experience administering collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and GitHub
• Experience managing Mac devices using JAMF or similar device management tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support both technical and non-technical staff, * Experience supporting technology environments for government contractors
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMS, or GSA security expectations
• Exposure to identity and access management best practices
