Job description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of Usio Output Solutions’ technology environment. Serving as the primary onsite IT resource, this role provides end-user support while ensuring the reliability, security, and availability of the organization’s systems and infrastructure.
This position also plays a critical role in maintaining Usio Output Solutions’ cybersecurity posture by supporting SOC 2 security practices, participating in security audits and compliance initiatives, monitoring system health and security events, and ensuring compliance with established security policies and standards., * Maintain and enforce SOC 2 security policies, procedures, and operational controls by managing security documentation, supporting internal and external security audits, coordinating control testing, collecting audit evidence, and ensuring ongoing compliance and certification readiness.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and business teams to plan, implement, and continuously improve network, server, and infrastructure solutions while adhering to established configuration and change management processes and supporting operational and strategic business objectives.
- Monitor system performance, server health, security events, and infrastructure availability to proactively identify and resolve issues. Review security logs generated by antivirus, firewall, Active Directory, and other security platforms to identify suspicious activity and support incident response efforts.
- Provide onsite end-user technical support by installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and business applications to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Coordinate with hardware, software, and service vendors to procure equipment, resolve technical issues, and support ongoing IT operations while maintaining accurate IT asset inventories, equipment lifecycle management records, and related documentation.
- Administer and maintain physical security systems, including badge access, alarm systems, and security cameras.
- Provision, configure, and support secure SFTP environments, user accounts, and IP whitelisting requests for internal users, clients, and business partners.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade servers, network equipment, and on-premise hardware, including hardware replacements, operating system updates, security patches, hotfixes, and firmware upgrades to ensure system availability, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Administration, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience administering and supporting on-premise and cloud-based IT environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, enterprise networking (firewalls, switches, and network segmentation), endpoint management, patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and SOC 2 security and compliance practices.
- Experience providing onsite end-user technical support, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, system administration, troubleshooting methodologies, and change management principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with end users, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of ownership, professionalism, customer service, and a willingness to learn new technologies and processes., * Bachelor’s (Required)
