Job description

The System Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company’s computer systems and networks. This includes managing hardware and software installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server administration, and cybersecurity., * Design and implement network and server infrastructure to support the company’s operations

  • Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary upgrades
  • Install and configure hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Ensure the security of all systems and networks by implementing and maintaining cybersecurity protocols
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve any technical issues in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to make recommendations for system improvements
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware and software purchases
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and DNS
  • Experience with server virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security protocols
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
