Job description
- Design new product and support all phases of the product lifecycle, including development, testing, and manufacturing.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop engineering solutions to meet project specifications.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, test plans, and reports.
- Support DFX efforts, focusing on design to cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Conduct testing in research and development labs, and analyze test data to validate designs.
- Communicate project status and technical issues effectively with stakeholders.
- Assist in proposal preparation and customer presentations, interacting with clients and suppliers on technical matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and project files in accordance with company guidelines.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and business development teams.
- Make recommendations for design, process improvements, or cost reductions based on testing and analysis.
- Support existing product lines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field required.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in developing aerospace environmental control system components and systems.
- Experience with RTCA/DO-160 standards and awareness of aerospace Supplemental Type Certification (STC) process preferred.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and drawing tools such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk; certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of CAD design and analysis tools.
- Experience with environmental control systems and aerospace components.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Project and Outlook.
- Ability to work onsite in Seminole, OK, and travel domestically and internationally up to 5%.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
