Job description

The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems while working closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure network stability, performance, and security., * Monitor and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure, including switching, routing, and connectivity services.

  • Install, configure, rack, stack, cable, and test network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
  • Support firewalls, VPNs, and network security technologies.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, vendors, and stakeholders to support network services.
  • Participate in on-call support and escalation activities as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and Fortinet networking technologies.
  • Strong understanding of switching, routing, wireless networking, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience troubleshooting network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and access control technologies.
  • Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, and high-availability architectures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment., * Experience supporting large enterprise or higher education environments.
  • Experience with wireless networking and dense-user environments.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Experience with Python, Ansible, APIs, or network automation.
  • Experience with network upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle refresh projects.
  • ITIL experience.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS/JNCIP, Aruba, or Fortinet certifications.
