Job description

  • Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this person will lead the LSB consumer insights team for 6 months while the current Global Consumer Insights Director is on leave. Primary responsibilities include delivering on the FY27 learning plans for two brands: method and Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day.
  • This entails both (1) strategic planning - navigating any changes in strategy or business needs alongside cross-functional partners, as well as (2) research execution - designing and launching quantitative and qualitative research on self-service platforms as well as partnering with research agencies to launch research.
  • This person will manage a high-performing team of two consumer insights specialists, one of whom will also be on leave during the back half of the contract. Because of this, this role will include more Individual Contributor work than a typical Director role.
  • The majority of research will field in the US, with occasional projects fielding in Europe.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, * Minimum 12 years of experience in a consumer insights role, either in house or at a research agency
  • Experience leading Brand Tracking research
  • Experience leading innovation and product development research for physical goods
  • Experience launching research via self-service research platforms (e.g. Suzy, Zappi, etc.), including defining research goals, recommending appropriate methodologies, writing questionnaires and/or discussion guides, managing online surveys and/or moderating qualitative discussions, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, and writing findings presentations
  • Experience managing research agency relationships, including defining research goals, recommending appropriate methodologies, managing the RFP process, and managing vendor relationships to ensure reports meet desired objectives

Technology Proficiencies

  • Microsoft Suite including Office, Word, Powerpoint, Excel
  • Data analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-service research platforms, especially Suzy or Zappi
