Job description

As the Embedded Software Engineering Associate Manager you will lead the Simulation Framework effort, driving end-to-end software delivery for embedded C++/Linux applications in an Agile environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and evolve simulation software libraries that model tactical components and operational environments.
  • Define, design, code, test, integrate, and verify embedded simulation software using JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities while ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and tools.
  • Lead recruitment, training, salary planning, and competency development; act as the technical conscience for the program.

Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related sciences

  • Experience with software design

  • Experience with C++ and software development

  • Implementation and Verification & Validation testing

  • Must be a US citizen - this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
