Director of IT

• Provide strategic leadership for the organization’s information technology operations and initiatives.
• Lead and oversee EHR implementation, upgrades, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud technologies, hardware, software, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Develop and implement technology policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational goals.
• Oversee IT vendors, consultants, software providers, and technology-related contracts.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of organizational systems and data.
• Manage IT budgets, technology planning, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and department managers to identify technology needs and recommend effective solutions.
• Lead IT projects from planning through implementation while ensuring timely completion and stakeholder communication.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to IT staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required Experience: Experience leading EHR implementation projects required, including hands-on experience with patching and backups

Industry Experience: Healthcare or not-for-profit IT experience preferred Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Our client near the Goshen, NY, area is seeking an experienced Director of IT to lead the organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and day-to-day IT operations. Experience leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation/integration projects is required.

Experience within a healthcare environment or not-for profit organization is strongly preferred., * Experience leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation projects required, including hands-on experience with patching and backups.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• Experience working in a healthcare or not-for-profit environment strongly preferred.
• Previous IT leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Experience managing technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
